Fluid-filled photonic crystal fiber modal interferometer utilizing long period grating

Abstract

A novel modal interferometer with high temperature sensitivity based on a long period grating inscribed in two-mode water-filled photonic crystal fiber is proposed. The device promises potential applications in sensing and wavelength filter system.
