Linewidth in quantum cascade lasers

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

In this talk, we will first discuss the intrinsic linewidth of quantum cascade lasers (QCLs) mainly caused by fundamental thermodynamic fluctuation. Then, we will discuss the dynamics of coherent interaction and resonant-tunneling transport effects on the linewidth of QCLs.
