An Improved Fairness-Aware Dynamic Spectrum Allocation Scheme in Elastic Optical Networks

Abstract

This paper investigates the service fairness problem in elastic optical networks and correspondingly proposes a forecast-based fairness-aware spectrum allocation scheme. Simulation results show that consistent service fairness performance is achieved without significant blocking performance deterioration.
