Abstract

A bidirectional 10Gb/s long-reach WDM-PON using remotely pumped erbium-doped fiber amplifier and wavelength tunable laser based colorless ONU is proposed and demonstrated in this paper. A receiver sensitivity of −20dBm after 50km SMF transmission is obtained.
