Abstract

A wavelength-selectable laser source employing self-seeded Fabry-Perot laser diode, array waveguide gratings (AWG) and remotely pumped EDFA (RP-EDFA) for uplink transmission in wavelength-division-multiplexed passive optical network (WDM-PON) systems is proposed and experimentally validated.
