Bandgap Mechanism in All Solid Microstructured Fibers with Linear Arrayed Structure

Abstract

An all-solid microstructured fiber with a linear arrayed structure is characterized. The plane wave expansion method (PWM) and finite element method (FEM) are used to analyze the band-gap properties, birefringences and confinement losses.
