Selective-filling on a tapered silica photonic crystal fiber with new transmission characteristics

Abstract

We change the transmission characteristics of silica fiber with air holes by tapering with pressure-assist. The changes in dispersion introduced by tapering are analyzed by observing the resonance spectrum introduced by selective-filling the fiber.
