A Novel Polarizer Based on the Near-wavelength High Contrast Grating

Abstract

A polarizer using near-wavelength high contrast gratings (NW-HCGs) is designed and analysed. At 1550nm, the reflectivity for TM light is as high as 96.71%, meanwhile, the transmittivity for TE light is 98.91%.
