Chirped Optical Pulse Compression Using a Silicon Channel Waveguide

Abstract

An integrated pulse compression method is proposed for chirped optical pulses based on silicon channel waveguides. A compression factor of about 0.05 is obtained by optimizing the waveguide dimensions.
