Abstract

Experimental and theoretical investigations show, for the first time, that wavelength-offset optical filtering improves optical power budgets by 1.4 dB in end-to-end real-time 11.25Gb/s optical OFDM 25km IMDD PON systems utilizing directly modulated DFB lasers.
