Progress in Bismuth-Doped Silica-Based Fiber Lasers and Amplifiers

Abstract

It has been recently demonstrated that Bi-doped glass optical fibers are a promising active laser medium for 1150-1550 nm. The new results in the field of Bi-doped fiber lasers and optical amplifiers will be considered.
