Magneto-optical Tunability of Microstructured Optical Fiber Filled with Ferrofluid

Abstract

All air holes of microstructured optical fiber were filled with magnetic fluid by means of the well-known capillarity effect. Magnetic-field response including guidance characteristic and transmission of mode in fiber were investigated.
