Development of Nano-Strain-Resolution Fiber Optic Static Strain Sensor for Crustal Deformation Monitoring

Abstract

The first realization of nano-strain-resolution fiber optic static strain sensor is introduced. Theoretical analysis and experimental demonstration are reviewed. With this sensor, crustal deformations induced by oceanic tide and by earthquake were clearly observed.
