Asymmetrical Transmitter and Receiver in High-Speed, Multi-band Optical OFDM Transmission Systems

Abstract

Asymmetrical transmitter and receiver are proposed and employed in Multi-band-OOFDM system. Compared with the all optical OFDM system, the proposed scheme using less single carrier coherent receivers could obtain the same OSNR tolerance.
