Absolutely Single Polarization Photonic Crystal Fiber Based on a Structure of Sub-Wavelength Hole Pitch

Abstract

By employing circular air holes in the fiber cladding area and elliptical air holes in the fiber core area, an absolutely single polarization photonic crystal fiber based on a structure of sub-wavelength hole pitch, which is with a single polarization operation region from 1300 nm to 1600 nm, is proposed.
