Abstract

We report recent progress in optical signal processing of phase-modulated digital signals using the delay-asymmetric nonlinear loop mirror. With broadband polarization-insensitive wavelength conversion in the loop mirror, signal demodulation is achieved at continuously variable bit-rate over 3 Gbit/s. Following the demodulation, all-optical clock recovery is also demonstrated.
