Abstract

We theoretically propose soliton-like compression of femtosecond pulses in two-segment quasi-phase-matching grating by using group-velocity matching scheme. We also numerically show soliton compression of femtosecond pulses with higher quality factor, lower intensity threshold and better spatial-temporal pattern than periodic quasi-phase-matching structure with the same total crystal length.
