Abstract

Copper ion exchange technique was used to fabricate soda-lime glass planar waveguides. The refractive indices profile was constructed through Inverse WKB method. Optical absorption and photoluminescence analysis were performed as well. Ion exchange time and temperature were both found to play an important role in waveguides photoluminescence properties.
