A New Compact Design of 1310nm Discrete Raman Amplifier with Combined Raman Cavity

Abstract

A new approach to construct a discrete 1310nm Raman amplifier is reported. The amplifier combines a multi-Stokes Raman fiber laser and a 1310nm Raman gain amplifier in the same cavity. A compact and higher efficiency design can be achieved.
